Children targeted in abduction attempt

The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is investigating an attempted kidnapping at the intersection of Alexander Lane and Hecht Lane, in Porter, Texas. On January 21, 2009, between the hours of 5:00 and 5:30pm, an older model black pickup truck with two white males approached a group of children riding bicycles and ordered them to get in the truck. As the children rode away, the passenger attempted to grab one of the children, but was unsuccessful.

The vehicle is described as an older model pickup truck, possibly a Chevy with rust damage. The males are described as both being white, between the ages of 19-20. The driver of the vehicle was described as having bad acne and wearing a straw cowboy hat. The passenger had a goatee.
