Bolivar schools to remain open

Parents applauded Wednesday night's vote by the Galveston ISD school board to reopen Crenshaw elementary and middle school on Bolivar Peninsula. Students in pre-K through eighth grade will return on February 4. The school received minimum damage from Hurricane Ike, but it took time to get everything else in place for classes to resume.
