League City under mandatory water restrictions following water line break

A water line break has forced League City to order mandatory water rationing.

The city implemented stage three of its drought contingency plan. Residents are being asked to limit their water use to essential indoor use only. The city is banning all watering of landscaped areas and residential washing of any motor vehicle.

Residents also cannot wash down sidewalks, driveways or flush gutters. Violators could face fines up to $500 plus court costs.
