Inauguration parties in Houston

January 20, 2009 4:48:10 AM PST
There are plenty of inauguration day parties here in Houston. One is at the Beaucoup Café in southeast Houston. The restaurant plans to set up a special projection screen to air the inauguration live.

At the George R Brown Convention Center, there will be a black tie inaugural party. It kicks off at 7pm and features several performers, and screens will be set up for coverage of tonight's events in Washington.

Hotel Derek will also have plenty of entertainment with an inaugural gala, "Houston Hosting History." This party gets started at 7pm, as well.

Houston's House of Blues will throw its own bash. That starts at 6pm with food, music and entertainment. It's at the corner of Caroline and Dallas.

We will carry the inauguration ceremony and parade live right here abc13.com. You can watch live streaming video of the events all day online.
