Persons of interest sought in violent crimes

The two crimes happened within 10 minutes and one block of each other on January 9. Around 1:40am that morning, Humble Police were dispatched to a home invasion at an apartment complex in the 500 block of Bender Ave in Humble. Police believe three black males were responsible and fled the scene in a small dark colored stolen pickup.

Just 8 minutes later, Humble Police received a call from the 400 block of Bender Ave, where a caller reported seeing three black males with guns. The three suspects kicked in the door of an apartment and shot two people inside. One of the victims, Mauricio Ordonez-Cruz, 29, was killed. The other victim survived and was transported to an area hospital.

The pickup seen fleeing the 1:40am home invasion was recovered at the scene of the 1:48am murder.

Police are seeking two persons of interest that they would like to interview. They were seen using an ATM card that was stolen at the same time as the pickup used in the crimes.
