Nader Georgy was well-known in east Harris County. His large family is having a difficult time understanding how someone could hurt a man who was known for his kindness and love for racing Ford Mustangs.

Relatives of the 33-year-old mechanic believe he was preparing to go to work Thursday night when he stepped outside of his condominium. Two men confronted him in the parking lot, then one of them shot Georgy once in the chest. Both men fled the scene.

Georgy was found slumped over his car and pronounced dead later at a nearby hospital. Although his family is heartbroken, they do believe that Georgy would want them to forgive.

"The only word that can come to mind about Nader is compassion. He was truly a compassionate person who had a heart of gold. He loved people genuinely," said his sister, Nada Alonso.

Georgy leaves behind his parents, five siblings, and two children.

Anyone with information that might help solve this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered.
