The lawsuit was filed Thursday in Chancery Court against the Green Train and its founder, Robert K. Wolf.
Haggard claims in the lawsuit that the Nashville-based organization exaggerated his involvement with the organization to solicit money, including forging his signature on letters and merchandise.
The Green Train bills itself as a nonprofit that educates the public about environmental issues.
A phone message left with the organization was not immediately returned.
