Police say Jeffery Lee Sylvan, 24, went to an auto repair business in the 9500 block of Richmond, along with his cousin, Lawrence Davis, 33, and another male family member on Tuesday afternoon. They wanted to meet with a mechanic to discuss problems Davis was having with his vehicle.
As Davis spoke to the mechanic, Sylvan allegedly stabbed him in the neck and then fled the scene on foot. The other relative attempted to take Davis to a nearby hospital, but his condition worsened. The relative then stopped the ar and asked a store clerk to call 911.
A short time later, Sylvan was arrested in the 10100 block of Forum Park without incident. It is believed Sylvan and Davis had an argument prior to the stabbing. Sylvan is facing a murder charge.
