Phoebe Tudor

HOUSTON Phoebe currently serves on the executive committee of the Houston Ballet, on the board of the Hermann Park Conservancy, and the Shepherd Society at Rice University. One of her passions is history and architecture and has been a leading force in preserving Houston's architectural and cultural history through her work on the Houston City Archeological and Historical Commission and the Greater Houston Preservation Alliance.

She is also a member of the Dean's Circle of the architecture school at Rice University and chairman of the Julia Ideson Preservation Partners, an ongoing project to raise $38 million to renovate the historic library downtown.

She was most recently chairmen of the Houston Ballet Ball, which raised a new record amount. In 2009, she is chairing the Shepherd Society at Rice University Gala featuring Renee Fleming and co-chairing the Hermann Park Conservancy luncheon.

Phoebe has twice been named to the Houston Chronicle best dressed list. She has been married 25 years to her high school sweetheart, Bobby Tudor, and the couple has three children.
