Missouri City seeks new police chief

MISSOURI CITY, TX [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

The current chief, Ron Echols, is retiring on January 16. Echols is accepting a position as chief of police in Live Oak, a city northeast of San Antonio.

Echols has served the Missouri City Police Department for 28 years. He was police chief for five years.

Assistant Police Chief Pat Worrell will serve as interim police chief until the position is filled.
