According to authorities, the victim, Brice Boudreaux, 32, went to the home on Silver Creek Drive near Plantation to pick up his two children. The kids and Boudreaux's estranged wife live with the wife's grandparents.
Investigators say the grandfather, Jesse Berwick, 80, got into an argument with Boudreaux. Berwick then allegedly got a revolver and shot Boudreaux.
An investigation into this case is underway.
