It's all gone now, but while the white stuff was here, it caused a lot of problems around town. There were 693 accidents between 4pm Wednesday morning and 11am Thursday morning in unincorporated Harris County.

Harris County Judge Ed Emmett says he plans to work with the Texas Department of Transportation to improve communication in the future.

"We're going to sort out how can we cooperate a little better with TxDOT, HCTRA, and how can we communicate what's going on," he said. "There are going to be some times when we have to tell the public, 'You know what? This is going to be a dicey situation'."

Judge Emmett believes that more could have been done to make the public aware.
