Massive fire breaks out at apartment complex

The fire broke out at the Starburst apartment complex just before 1pm on Moonmist at Fondren and quickly turned into a third alarm blaze. When fire crews arrived on the scene, they saw flames and smoke pouring out of one of the buildings.

The flames caused extensive damage to at least 10 units.

At least one woman was taken away by ambulance to get checked out. No word on the extent of her injuries.

The cause of the fire is not known.
