Arrest made in death of popular deer

Authorities have made an arrest in the decapitating death of a popular deer at an area wildlife refuge. [SIGN UP: Get headlines and breaking news sent to you]

Thanks to a Crime Stopper tip and the continued coverage led to the arrest, authorities said. Precinct 5 deputies arrested Brandon Gregory around 2:15am Saturday. Authorities also recovered the head of the deer along with two others.

The reward went up to $10,000 after many who heard the news of the brutal killing of 'Mr. Buck'. Investigators discovered the carcass at Bear Creek Park

in west Houston last week.
