Authorities say Travis Munroe Townsend attacked a speed camera recently installed along a Phoenix-area freeway. According to state police, a motorcycle officer heard loud banging noises and saw a man swinging at the camera with a pick.
Officials say the camera wasn't damaged. But it will need a new protective cover.
Townsend now faces a number of charges, including causing felony damage.
