Records show Scott Perry, a special education teacher in Channelview ISD, was arrested Monday. The district says he was a contract worker and hasn't been in the classroom since October.
Channelview released a statement saying it "will take the appropriate steps necessary to do what is best for our students and employees."
At least six other area teachers have been arrested on similar charges in the last month.
