Randall's is giving the food bank and 30 other relief agencies more than 1,200 turkeys this year. They made the donation Thursday morning in west Houston. The turkeys will help make more than 23,000 meals.

The Houston Food Bank says this is going to help, especially with relief after Hurricane Ike.

"We're still distributing down, particularly in Chambers and Galveston Counties and that need is going to be ongoing," said Houston Food Bank President Brian Green.

The food bank says the downturn in the economy has also increased the demand for help.
