Wrong-way freeway chase

The chase ended on Highway 290 near Hegar after about 45 minutes. Police chased the suspect from Jersey Village toward Waller. He then turned around and drove into oncoming traffic, hitting an SUV.

The driver was arrested a short time later without further incident. No one appeared to be seriously hurt.

It's unknown what prompted the chase.
