Baby nearly run over outside school

The accident happened on Aldine Mail Road near Aldine Westfield in northeast Harris County at 3pm. According to Aldine ISD officials, a mother was picking up one of her children at Stephens Elementary when her 11-month-old baby apparently fell out of the car. Another toddler in the car apparently opened the car's door, allowing the baby to tumble out. The mother's car nearly ran over the baby, but the child's arm was pinned between the car's tire and the curb.

The baby was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to survive the injuries.
