Man accused of shooting girlfriend inside car

It happened at a Hartz Chicken at the Eastex Freeway and Aldine Mail Road. The man told officers he shot the woman in the head while they were waiting at the drive-thru line, but that it was an accident.

The woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
