In effort to give viewers and readers a little peek into the personal side of some of Harris County's leaders elected or re-elected to office this week , Paige Hewitt held friendly interviews with family members at the candidates' parties on election night. Ed Emmett, Harris County Judge

"He doesn't love big crowds," said wife Gwen Emmett. "When I have parties, I like to have 100 people. He likes to have a small dinner party of about six."

Pat Lykos, who is leading in the vote for Harris Co. District Attorney

"She has a great conviction for democracy and right and wrong," Lykos' husband Bill Allen told us.

Note: With the DA's race yet officially called, as officials still have to review and tally a few thousand votes, Paige invited both DA candidates to participate. C.O. Bradford, who is trailing Pat Lykos in the race by about 5,000 votes, declined to participate pending a final vote count.

"The one place that has the power to change your life," said former DA Robert Eckels on the office.. From Pat Lykos' campaign party, Eckels said the former state district judge is a good fit for the job.

Adrian Garcia, Harris County Sheriff

"He's still Adrian," said wife Monica. "He still has to come home and I'll tell him to take out the trash."
