Homeowner takes robber's gun, kills him

DALLAS, TX A second robber who also was at the door demanding money ran away, and the homeowner was uninjured in the Sunday night attack, according to police.

"He was protecting himself," Dallas police Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse told The Dallas Morning News for its Monday online editions. "He did not know the guys."

The robber who was shot later died at the hospital. Police didn't have details on where the man was shot, and his identity was not immediately released.
