A man and two women are dead after a grinding, head-on collision between two cars on a heavily traveled parkway in northwestern San Antonio. The crash happened just after 9 p.m. on Wurzbach Parkway near the Thousand Oaks exit. San Antonio police Sgt. Daniel Anders said a man was driving east on the parkway when his car jumped a median and slammed into on oncoming car with two women inside.

All three died at the scene. The Bexar County medical examiner's office identified the man as 23-year-old Christopher Tufino of Converse and the two women as 74-year-old Regina Lopez and her 45-year-old daughter, Irma Lopez, both of San Antonio. Irma Lopez was driving the second car.
