Students take ghost hunting seriously

RENO, NV Three Reno college students have formed Nevada Student Paranormal Investigation or NSPI. They say they'll look into things that go bump in the night for free.

The NSPI guys have a range of high-tech gear including infrared video equipment and a thermal scanner. Sean O'Callaghan, a political science and economics major, says they've recorded the ghostly voice of what sounds like a woman at an old stagecoach way station.

But they've also proved unfounded a rumor of ghosts at a Virginia City cemetery. The students say strange lights were actually reflections of car headlights off polished tombstones.

But they won't be doing any ghost hunting Halloween night. The students tell the Reno Gazette-Journal that Halloween is just too noisy and busy.
