The Major League Soccer Disciplinary Committee fined and suspended Houston Dynamo forward Kei Kamara and FC Dallas midfielder Pablo Ricchetti one game each and $250 for incidents in Week 30 of the regular season. The fines and suspensions are in addition to the one-game suspension and $250 fine each received for being given a red card in their clubs' games. Kamara was involved in a physical confrontation with San Jose Earthquakes defender Nick Garcia in the 11th minute of Houston's game versus San Jose on Oct. 15. The disciplinary committee reviewed the play and found that Kamara endangered the safety of his opponent by striking him with his elbow. The committee has therefore suspended him a total of two games and fined him $500.

Kamara sat out of the Dynamo's game versus the Los Angeles Galaxy on Oct. 18 and will serve the second game of the suspension on Oct. 25 in the Dynamo's final game of the regular season.

Ricchetti was given a red card for a challenge on Real Salt Lake player Will Johnson in the 89th minute of the FC Dallas versus Real Salt Lake game on Oct. 18. Following the play, Ricchetti was involved in a physical confrontation with Ian Joy. The disciplinary committee reviewed found that Ricchetti made unnecessary contact to Joy's face, and therefore suspended him for a total of two games and a total of $500. Ricchetti will miss FC Dallas' final game of the 2008 regular season Oct. 26 versus Los Angeles, and is suspended for the first game of the 2009 regular season.
