Police search for lottery ticket bandit

A thief with possible dreams of winning the lottery has struck a convenience store in Baytown.On Monday, October 13, 2008 at approximately 7:20pm, a man walked into the RPS Discount convenience store located at 1600 N. Alexander Drive in Baytown, Texas. The suspect approached the clerk at the counter and asked for several items to purchase. When the clerk turned to get the items, the suspect took a stack of lottery tickets and left the store. When the clerk turned back around, the man was gone.

Baytown Police checked the store's surveillance camera. The suspect is described as a black male and at the time of the crime he was wearing a black shirt and black pants.

If you recognize the suspect, you're asked to call Baytown Police at 281-422-8371. You can also call Baytown Crime Stoppers at 281-427-TIPS (8477) and remain anonymous. If you provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of an individual, you can receive a cash reward up to $1,000.
