MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX Investigators say they staked out the James Coney Island off Sawdust Road after a tip alerted them to a planned robbery. During the stakeout, two men showed up and allegedly pulled a gun on the restaurant manager.
Deputies went to help. They say the suspects then turned their guns at deputies so they opened fire.
The Texas Rangers are investigating the shootings. Three other suspects were arrested in an alleged getaway car parked nearby.
