Man accused in road rage death

A 25-year-old faces a murder charge in today's death of a man who allegedly backed into the suspect's truck at a convenience store in Lubbock. Authorities say Steven Dan Torres was arrested hours after police investigated what they believed was a minor traffic accident that turned into road rage.

Twenty-four-year-old James Daniel Green was found dead before dawn in his car after it crashed into a utility pole.

Officers had been responding to two different calls in the area, one for shots fired and another for the traffic accident. They determined the cases were connected.

Investigators think Torres shot at Green's car as it left the convenience store. One of those bullets allegedly struck Green. A passenger with Green wasn't hurt.
