Mom says she was too drunk to come home

HOUSTON Heather Lynn Vaughan appeared in court Thursday morning on three counts of child endangerment. She told authorities she went to a party Monday night and intended to be home around 3am.

Her four-year-old daughter and one-year-old twin girls were found covered in feces in Vaughan's northwest Harris County apartment the next day. The kids are now with their father.
