A former teacher from Kaufman County who pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography was sentenced to 10 years in prison on Friday. Upon release, Chad Michael Hutchins, 29, of Forney will also serve a 15-year term of supervised release and register as a sex offender, Chief U.S. District Judge Sidney A. Fitzwater ordered.

In court documents, Hutchins admitted that in June 2007 three of his home computers contained hundreds of images of child pornography. Some depicted prepubescent minors and others portrayed sadistic and/or masochistic conduct.

Hutchins, who pleaded guilty in May, had more than 600 images, many obtained by using file sharing software, prosecutors said.
