Fruit may help solve local murder case

We have a murder mystery, and investigators say a certain fruit may help solve the case. A still unidentified woman was found dead back in July at an abandoned home off of the East Freeway. Investigators say deep markings on the woman's teeth show she had the same habit for years.

"Sucking on lemons constantly starting at a young age, like when she was a child," said Forensic Sketch Artist Lois Gibson. "She sucked on lemons."

The woman was African-American, 30 to 50 years old. She died from blunt force trauma to the head. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. There is a cash reward.
