Second Baptist 64-20 over Westbury Christian

Westbury Christian (3-0), coached by Heisman Trophy winner and former Rocket Charlie Ward, was at the home of the Second Baptist Eagles (2-2) on Friday. Ward has turned the program around after going 0-10 last year.

The Eagles score first. Quarterback Connor Wood pitches to John Buckley. Buckley freezes Kevin Perry and strolls into the end zone for a seven to nothing lead.

Wood is just a junior, a highly sought after junior actually. Texas is said to be interested in the 6-4 205 lb quarterback.

His real strength is his arm - 16 of 27 for 200 yards & four touchdowns hooks up with Seth Hackett, Brian Franshaw, Trevor Hanson and John Doughtie for scores.

Wood also scored on a one yard dive, three other Eagles rushed for touchdowns putting Second Baptist 363 yards of total offense.

The Eagles defense is strong. It only allowed 32 total yards in the first half. Andrew Pruett led the way on D. Second Baptist hands Westbury Christian its first loss of the season - 64-20 the final.
