Beating victim found stripped in open field

Police are looking for clues in the severe beating of a man in southwest Houston.A maintenance employee from a nearby apartment complex spotted the victim, a man in his 60s, and called police. Officers found the victim, shirtless and his pants pulled down to his ankles, under a tree in the 700 block of Corporate Drive.

The victim suffered blunt force trauma to the head and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition. His identity has not been released.

Police don't know who attacked him, or why. Anyone with information on this case is urged to call Houston police at 713-308-3600.
