Trial begins for Clear Lake murders

HOUSTON Christine Paolilla pleaded not guilty before opening statements began in her capital murder trial. Paolilla stands accused of helping Christopher Snider kill Tiffany Rowell, Marcus Precella, Rachel Koloroutis and Adelbert Sanchez in a Clear Lake home in July 2003.

Investigators say Paolilla knew the victims, and that she and Snider stole drugs from the home. The defense blamed the killings on Snider.

Snider killed himself in South Carolina two years ago.
