Where are the toll roads still free?

The road to recovery is getting a little more expensive in Fort Bend County today. It's another sign life is getting back to normal for the millions of people living in the Houston area, Starting today, the Fort Bend County Toll Road Authority will continue collecting tolls on the Westpark Tollway and the Fort Bend Parkway. [SEE A MAP OF FT. BEND AND HARRIS CO. TOLLROADS]

In contrast, the Harris County toll authority has waived its tolls until Saturday. So you have a few extra days on the Harris County toll roads before you'll have to start paying again to drive those roadways.

This was all done, to begin with, to ease traffic congestions during the evacuation before Hurricane Ike, and the traffic problems that followed because of power outages.
