Ike forces students out of their building

FBISD Update, Sept. 23 8am
Due to problems experienced overnight with water and air-conditioning, Hodges Bend Middle School, 16510 Bissonnet, Houston, TX 77083, will not have classes today, Tuesday, September 23.

Fort Bend ISD's School Messenger call-out system will be utilized to notify Hodges Bend parents. Stay tuned to the district's website and media for updates.

FBISD Update, Sept. 22, 4:30 pm
All Fort Bend ISD campuses are open for classes except for: Briargate Elementary and Ridgegate Elementary Schools. The status of these campuses will be reported as soon as the schools regain power.

Update about Quail Valley Middle School
Quail Valley Middle School has regained power and will reopen at its normal time for classes on Tues., Sept. 23.

Update about Willowridge High School and Christa McAuliffe Middle School
Willowridge High School (WHS) has regained power and will reopen at its normal time for classes on Tues, Sept. 23. Due to extensive damage to the Christa McAuliffe Middle School (CMMS) campus, those students will now attend classes at WHS, and should report to that campus (WHS) in the morning, Sept. 23, at their regular time. Students who may arrive at CMMS in the morning will be transported by school bus to the WHS campus. The attached parent letter explains a new schedule of how CMMS students will report to WHS beginning Wednesday, Sept. 24.

The district will provide updates via the website at www.fortbendisd.com , telephone callouts, media alerts and campus marquees as to when campuses currently without power regain their power.
