Hearing set for trial of former astronaut Nowak

ORLANDO, FL On Oct. 21, an appeals court in Daytona Beach will reconsider a judge's decision to toss out statements Nowak made to police and evidence found in her car in the 2007 astronaut love triangle case.

Nowak is charged with attempted kidnapping, battery and burglary with assault. She has pleaded not guilty and is free on bond.

Authorities say Nowak drove from the Houston area, stalked Colleen Shipman at an Orlando airport, tried to get into her car, then attacked her with pepper spray.

Shipman, the girlfriend of former space shuttle pilot Bill Oefelein, was able to drive away.
