Houstonian Everett honored during Bills' game

BUFFALO, NY The former Bills tight end, who received a career ending spinal injury last year, walked onto the field to receive the George Halas Award. The award is given to the player who overcomes the most adversity in the previous season.

Everett was initially paralyzed from the neck down and his prognosis was bleak. But Everett was able to regain the use of his legs through intensive physical therapy, much of it done here in Houston.
