Police are investigating a home invasion in northwest Houston. They say it happened in a usually quiet neighborhood. Houston police tell us a man was watching television in the bedroom of his home on Shadow Wood near Shadow when he heard noise in the house. He waited for it to get quiet and then left his bedroom to find the rest of his home ransacked.

The resident told police that nothing appeared to be missing. Police believe the two to three men who entered the home didn't find what they were looking for, so they left.

There was never a confrontation between the resident and the intruders and no one was hurt. The resident says the home was also burglarized back in February.

Officers tell us the neighborhood in which this happened in generally very quiet. They believe the suspects, who remain on the loose, entered the home through some unlocked gates.
