High gasoline prices mean you will pay more to go to high school football games and other extracurricular activities at several school districts in our area. Ticket prices for Katy sports will go from $5 to $12. The district has had to double its projected budget for the diesel fuel for the buses to shuttle students to and from away games and competitions.

Other districts, including Galveston, Dickinson, Alvin and Brazosport, are all hiking their ticket prices by $1.
