Police want two men caught on tape

BELLAIRE, TX Investigators say they are part of a crime spree over the past ten days, targeting people in Bellaire.

Police have some specific things they are asking homeowners to do, to make sure they don't become a victim.

On tape they are calm and collected withdrawing cash and walking out of a West Loop convenience store. You'd never know they had just finished with their latest robbery victim. It's their third in a week.

"The two males are armed," said Det. John Bohannon of the Bellaire Police Department. "One with a shotgun and one with a pistol."

Their MO is simple. Bellaire police say the two guys and a girl follow people home right to their driveways. Before they even get out of their cars there are guns in their faces.

"The people are in fear not knowing what to do," Det. Bohannon said. "They demand cash, wallets, jewelry and they take the property then flee."

Police have linked the group to at least four armed robberies since the first of the month. The latest was early Monday morning. In one robbery they got $30,000 worth of cash and jewelry. That was Friday. They had already robbed another man. It's his ATM card they're using to get more cash in the video.

Detective Bohannon advises to watch your review mirror. No one's been hurt so far.

"A situation can go wrong in the blink of an eye where someone can be gravely injured or killed," he warned.

If you can help police find these robbers, make an anonymous call to Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS or Bellaire police at 713-668-0487.
