Traffic violation turns into police chase

HOUSTON Officers say they tried to pull a car over for traffic violations on Highway 290. The driver then took off, got on the North Loop, then on Highway 225, and then on Highway 146 before finally giving up.

Authorities say the chase lasted a good 30 minutes, and involved several police departments. No one got hurt. P> There's no word on why the man tried to run from police.
