Sen. Obama raises funds in Houston

July 31, 2008 10:02:52 PM PDT
Senator Barack Obama made two private campaign stops Thursday night in Houston. He is now gone with a much bigger war chest and supporters are left with some stories to tell.

Minutes after 6pm, the Obama motorcade was led into a private home in River Oaks for a $2,300 dollar a plate dinner at a local attorney's home. Supporters say watching Obama speak was mesmerizing.

We're told the two fundraising events in River Oaks and Memorial each raised $1.5 million each for a total of $3 million.

That money will be divided between the Obama camp and the DNC.
