Husband wasn't fatally trampled by cattle

KNOXVILLE, TN Raynella Dossett Leath has been indicted on a charge of first-degree murder in the 1992 death of then-prosecutor Ed Dossett.

She already is charged with murder in the 2003 death of her second husband, David Leath, a barber and lifelong friend of her first husband.

A medical examiner initially ruled the DA was knocked down and trampled to death by cattle in his pasture. But toxicology reports completed after an autopsy indicate he may have died instead from a morphine overdose.

The investigation into Dossett's death was reopened after his widow was charged in the death of her second husband.
