Serial robber targets Houston banks

HOUSTON The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a serial bank robber who has robbed three banks in less than a month. The latest robbery was at the Wells Fargo Bank located inside the Randall's grocery store located at 11041 Westheimer on July 11, 2008. The robber is also suspected of robbing the Compass Bank located at 12335 FM 1960 West on June 17, 2008, and the JPMorgan Chase Bank located at 4600 North, Highway 6 on July 1, 2008.

At approximately 2:16 p.m., the robber entered the Wells Fargo Bank alone. He was dressed in a red baseball hat, dark colored sunglasses, a black tight fitting long sleeve crew neck shirt and light colored shorts. The bank robber approached the teller counter, presented a note demanding money and threatened the teller for non-compliance. The teller complied with the robber's demands and turned over the cash. No one was physically hurt during the robbery.

The bank robber is described as an Asian male, possibly Vietnamese, approximately 20 years of age, small build 5'2" to 5'5", between 120 to 130 pounds, with a tattoo on the back of his neck.
