HOUSTON "Students in the workshops will have a chance to practice being in a college classroom by taking notes from a San Jacinto College professor's lecture," said Pam Campbell, South campus dual credit director. "These workshops are designed to take the students beyond enrolling in college and give them some tools to help them excel in college."

During the workshops, students will discover how to read for comprehension, communicate with professors, and understand a college syllabus, as well as time management and critical thinking skills. Students will also receive information from the College's counseling staff on degree planning and course selection. Spaces are limited but still available.
