Undercover deputy involved in crash

LA PORTE, TX Investigators say around 11pm Tuesday, the driver in a Mazda didn't yield to the undercover deputy driving an unmarked car on Highway 146 near Wharton Weems.

The deputy slammed into the Mazda. Apparently, the Mazda driver was confused by the two-way stop.

The impact of the crash injured two of the three people in the Mazda. A third passenger was not hurt and neither was the undercover deputy, who was on duty at the time.
