'Stinky feet' killer headed to prison

HOUSTON In May, William Serrano pled no contest to murder. Today, a judge sentenced him to 35 years in prison.

Back in October 2007, Serrano got into an argument with his roommate, Noel (Alex) Vaquero. Vaquero apparently complained about the foul odor of Serrano's feet. Serrano got upset, got a knife and stabbed the victim several times. A witness heard the argument and saw the defendant with two knives and standing over the victim.

During witness testimony for the sentencing, Serrano sobbed in court and pled for mercy, saying he has a family in El Salvador to support. The judge in the case said he's heard a lot of excuses for murder, but killing someone over making fun of stinky feet is unbelievable.
