Federal and local agencies released the results of a weeklong fugitive roundup called Operation Falcon 2008. The operation covered the southern district of Texas which includes Harris and 43 other counties. US marshals and local law officers went after the most dangerous fugitives, including those wanted for sex offenses, kidnapping and armed robbery.

"Operation Falcon illustrates the impact a combined law enforcement initiative can have on our community," explained U.S. Marshal Ruben Monzon. "The individuals arrested can no longer victimize citizens in the southern district of Texas."

From June 23rd to June 30th, officers arrested 363 dangerous fugitives in Harris County alone. In the rest of the southern district, law officers picked up 420 more fugitives and seized 4,500 pounds of marijuana.
