Several counties plan 'no refusal' weekend

HOUSTON Later this morning, they plan to unveil the 'No Refusal' program. During the weekend, if you are pulled over for suspicion of drunk driving, a judge will be on hand to sign a court order, forcing you to give a blood sample. Some believe this violates rights.

"Taking blood directly from your person, without an accident or some other legal reason I think you are entitled to a lawyer at that point," said Harris County DA Warren Diepraam. "When we have people refusing to do what they said they would do when they got their driver's license, who are refusing to obey the law and give a breath sample when arrested by police for DWI --we've got to do something."

'No Refusal' holiday weekends first started in Harris County more than a year ago.
